O. P. Jindal University (OPJU), Raigarh was founded under the aegis of Jindal Education and Welfare Society. The university was established by an Act of Legislature in the state assembly of Chhattisgarh in 2014. It aims at providing world class curriculum, quality education and training programmes to empower the youth that helps in the development of nation and make a mark in the world as well. The university is promoted by Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), a part of US$ 18 billion OP Jindal Group.
OPJU offers Undergraduate Engineering programme in the field of Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering. Admission in the university’s courses is on the basis of performance in JEE Mains and/or Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CGPET).
